U.S.-Latin America: Record Trade Levels at $636.26 Billion

The U.S. sold more of its products to Latin American countries than ever before, except for Cuba, while buying more products from the region than ever before except from Argentina and Uruguay.

The U.S.-Latin America trade volume reached $636.26 billion in value with exports and imports each rising 27 percent in 2010 from 2009 levels.

An analysis from the Latin Business Chronicle documented the trade surge just in time for President Obama’s upcoming visit to the region this month where trade will be one of the subjects discussed.
