U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute Honors Outstanding Americans of Hispanic Descent

The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) announced the outstanding Americans of Hispanic descent and they included:  Rosa Rosales receiving the National Hispanic Hero Award, Alex Nogales receiving the Cesar E. Chavez Community Service Awards, Moctesuma Esparza receiving the Hank Lacayo Lifetime Achievement Award and Mike Pizana won the Velazquez Volunteer of the Year Award.

Rosales has dedicated more than 30 years of her career to empowering the Latino community cofounding the United Public Employee Association.  Alex Nogales’ is a media professional who has fought for the civil rights and the inclusion of Latinos in radio, film and television.

Esparza is an award-winning producer, entertainment executive, and entrepreneur working with such stars as Jennifer Lopez, Halle Barry and Andy Garcia.  Finally Pizana, is being recognized for his leadership positions in the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and has volunteered over 10 years at USHLI.
