Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies, has landed a $100 million contract from Brazil military jet manufacturer Embraer Defense and Security.

Hamilton will be supplying the electric power systems for the new Embraer KC-390 cargo-tanker planes for Brazil’s Air Force.

The aircraft is slated to enter service in 2016, with capability to transport up to 23 tons of cargo, including wheeled armored vehicles, support equipment and military personnel.  This aircraft is also designed for rapid configuration as a tanker.

Hamilton is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products in the world.
