Port Director Michael Freeman along with Consul de Mexico Rodolfo Quilantan Arenas announced the opening of a satellite Mexico Consulate office at the Brownsville port of entry’s Gateway International Bridge passport processing lobby. This office will be staffed by personnel from the Mexican Consulate office in Brownsville, Texas. Travelers needing assistance from the Mexico Consulate’s office will have easy access to a representative from the Mexican government.

This satellite office will help those legitimate travelers that have questions or require assistance from the Mexican consulate.  Port Director Michael Freeman, Consul de Mexico Rodolfo Quilantan Arenas, members of the Brownsville chamber of commerce and representatives from the local business community held a ceremonial ribbon cutting and open house at the newly opened Mexico satellite consulate office.

“Providing an area within our port of entry to the government of Mexico is part of CBP’s ongoing commitment to working with our counterparts in Mexico. This satellite office will assist Mexican citizens using the Brownsville port of entry with easy access to representatives from the Mexican Consulate,” said Michael Freeman, CBP port director, Brownsville, Texas.
