Over the weekend tourists in Argentina found the bodies of two female victims near a hiking trail in the Salta province which is located in the northwest of the country. Both female victims were staying at a hostel and identified as French tourists last seen on July 16th.
Early evidence indicates that the women were shot, beaten and probably sexually assaulted. The bodies were located in the vicinity of the San Lorenzo ravine which is near the very popular las Costas natural reserve.
French government representatives are traveling to Argentina to check in on the investigation being handled by the Salta regional government. Thus far they are expressing full confidence in how the matter will be handled while French authorities are calling for a quick solution.
