Jenni Rivera, the late great banda singer, will be honored in December on the anniversary of her death with tribute concerts and a new album.
The new live album will go on sale on December 3, distributed by the singer’s record label, Universal Music. The album will feature songs from her last concert in Monterrey, Mexico, songs she sung just hours before her private plane crashed on December 9.
La Diva de la Banda, as Rivera was known, will also be honored by her family with a tribute concert in Mexico at Arena Monterrey, the last place she performed. The ‘Jenni Rivera Lives’ tribute will have a super star line up of performers singing some of Rivera’s top hits. Her youngest brother Lupillo Rivera will also be honoring his sister with a free concert on December 8 in the town of Iturbide, Nuevo Leon where Rivera’s plane crash and fans consider her gravesite.
The singer was 43-years-old when together with six other people the private aircraft in which they were flying to Toluco from Monterrey crashed into a mountain in town of Iturbide.
