Top American CEO’s Gather to Advocate for Path to Citizenship as Part of Immigration Reform

A coalition of top CEO’s and American city Mayors have joined to form Partnership for a New American Economy, which will advocate for comprehensive immigration reform and citizenship for illegal immigrants currently based as sound economic policy.

The group of CEO’s, which include such notable companies as Disney and Boeing, employee over 600,000 people and generate $220 billion in annual sales.  The partnership will not only advocate for creating a path to citizenship for the estimate 12 million undocumented individuals living in the U.S. but also for border security, creating an easy work verification system and employer accountability when the law is broken.

They will promote their position to the White House; lobby Congress and the American public by sponsoring public education campaigns on the economic benefits of immigrants while holding nationwide forums on the issues.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg noted “Somebody has to lead and explain to the country why [immigrants are beneficial] and the jobs that go with them.”
