Two Paraguayans and an Argentine were arrested Thursday outside Buenos Aires when they were caught unloading 1.6 tons of marijuana from a boat, police said.
The marijuana, which was in 40 bales, was seized during an operation in the city of Escobar, police spokesmen said.
The suspects were turned over to prosecutors.
The marijuana was going to be distributed in the urban areas around Buenos Aires, police said.
