While insisting he has no more cancer, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez is set to start this third round of chemotherapy treatment.
The leftist leaning President and avowed anti-American imperialist has not disclosed the type of cancer he has been battling since June. Earlier this month he was in Cuba for his second round of chemotherapy and vowed to seek another Presidential term and stay in power until 2031.
On state run media Chavez noted: “I say this, and I say it not only with optimism, but also with the faith that the vast majority of us have in the restoration of my health and in the continuation of this battle, a battle for Venezuela.”
Chavez was not clear on whether this latest round of treatment would be in Cuba where he had his cancerous tumor removed or in Venezuela.
