It’s a Boat, It’s a Plane, It’s a Train – No it’s a diesel-electrical powered submarine captured near the Ecuador-Colombian border in a remote jungle area. US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), who assisted in seizing the submarine, believe it was built for one thing only transporting cocaine.
The submarine is nine feet high and 100 feet long and capable of trans-oceanic travel and designed for comfort with air conditioning. Its maiden voyage was due to be this upcoming Friday.
In an unrelated incident being reported by Colombian authorities, a 14 inch World Cup replica made entirely of cocaine heading for Spain was seized. The statue was constructed with 24 pounds of cocaine mixed with gasoline to give it shape and was painted in gold to hide its true contents.
