On Tuesday’s elimination on NBC’s “The Voice, Team Adam took a major hit, as two of his three remaining singers were voted off.
Coach Adam Levine is now in the same boat at both Team Usher and Team Shakira, each having just one singer left.
Coach Blake Shelton fared much better, with all three of his contestants surviving elimination.
So which two singers went home?
Usher’s final singer, Michelle Chamuel, was the first to be move, followed by Blake’s teenage country prodigy Danielle Bradbery,. Next to be saved was Shakira’s only remaining singer Sasha Allen, followed by Blake’s Swon Brothers and Adam’s Amber Carrington. The final singer saved was Blake’s Holly Tucker, meaning Team Adam’s Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons were sent packing.
Hill, who was set to tour with pop icon Michael Jackson before his sudden death, was considered to be the front-runner of the competition. It is unclear why the powerhouse was sent home, but many, including Coach Adam were shocked.
On Monday, Simmons performed Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Though she gave new life to the song, it was not enough to save her, and she was sent packing.
Though these eliminations may have surprised many, the caliber of each of the remaining singers will likely result in more “shocking” eliminations.
