While Mexican authorities continue to investigate the alleged rape of two minors by musician Kalimba, one of the girls says it was consensual, while the other 16 year old says the artist drugged her, hit her and sexually attacked her on two occasions, and before he went to the bathroom to vomit.
Kalimba denies having sexually abused the girls, but did admit to be in his hotel at the time of the alleged attacks. He said that the girls actually gave him a ride to the airport the day after and that why, “had he raped them or whatever, would they stick around to do such thing?”
Kalimba also says ‘look at my size, man. Do you really think I could rape someone and not take a bruise, a scratch?’
One of the girls, Thaily Villalobos wrote the following on Kalimba’s Twitter account:
“Merry Chrismas, have a good time, and I wish you the best! Sorry for all the trouble, I feel really bad. If I had known what she’s like I would have never taken her. Stupid liar! Damn her!” Note that in Mexico though the alleged victim is underage her name and picture are allowed to be shown.
Despite admitting that the sex was consensual, it is still illegal, since she’s a minor.
The attorney prosecuting the case said his client received messages from Kalimba instructing her to ‘take the morning after pill’ since he hadn’t used a condom.
Kalimba faces life in a Mexican prison, if he is convicted of rape.
