A New York teen girl being dubbed the “Pepper Spray Princess” used jalapeño peppers to make a homemade pepper spray, according to police.
Authorities say Princess Hall, 16, of Staten Island, admitted to concocting her own kind of pepper spray ahead of an attack on a fellow teen, Elsie Manneh.
On Wednesday morning, not far from New Dorp High School, Hall threw a spray bottle full of her own pepper spray at her classmate’s eyes and pulled her hair. The burn was so bad, the victim was taken to Staten Island University Hospital. After having her eyes flushed out, Manneh was able to be released, but she was reportedly incapacitated for two days.
Manneh was left with a swollen face and a small bald spot on her head.
Police have not said why Hall attacked her classmate.
Hall was charged with assault and harassment, and court records show she has a court summons earlier this year for disorderly conduct for an unrelated incident.
Manneh says she and Hall had been friends prior to the attack and said she now feels “backstabbed.”
