As if the American palette needed another assault, Taco Bell is hinting of a new taco flavor. The ‘Cool Ranch Doritos Locos’ taco is expected to launch in 2013. The fast-food chain wants to duplicate the success it has had with its Doritos Locos Taco – its best-selling new product ever.
Over 200 million Doritos Locos tacos have been sold at Taco Bell. In 2013 Taco Bell is anticipating selling over 300 million Doritos Locos tacos. The chain is also expected to launch a ‘Flamas Doritos Locos’ taco after the Cool Ranch version hits the market. The Flamas-flavored chips are sold predominantly in Latino markets.
The media savvy chain hinted at its upcoming Cool Ranch taco launch via Twitter and Facebook earlier this week. It posted a picture of a Doritos Cool Ranch chip bag next to a taco. No one is sure if the company plans on launching a taco line for each of the 123 flavors of Doritos in existence.
