TMZ is reporting that actor turned lawman Steven Seagal and Arizona’s Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio are being sued by a man who says his home was damaged, his puppy was shot, and his roosters were killed when the two men, along with a tactical unit entered his home violently to perform what he says was an “unfounded” raid.
Jesus Sanchez Llovera says more than 100 of his roosters, which he says he only kept for show, were killed when Seagal, Arpaio, and a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Operations Unit, armed with two armored vehicles, rammed the gate of his property and stormed the house. They believed Llovera was running a cockfighting ring.
The whole ordeal, which was filmed for the Seagal’s show, “Steven Seagal Lawman,” ended with more than 100 roosters being euthanized, ad Llovera says his children’s 11-month-old puppy was shot and killed. The home’s windows were broken, and the gate knocked down by Seagal and Arpaio’s men.
The notice of claim, which is the first step towards a lawsuit says Lliovera is asking for $100,000 for the damage and an apology to his kids for killing their dog.
