Following the closing of the Vegas steakhouse she was a 30 percent stakeholder in, Eva Longoria is now reorganizing to open a 1920s era dining and nightlife steakhouse complete with fashion shows, aimed at women.
While “SHe Restaurant” is aimed at female steakhouse lovers, it will not be a women-only establishment.
SHe will be located in the same spot as the “Desperate Housewives” alum’s recently closed restaurant Beso and nightclub Eve. It will reportedly have “boutique steakhouse dishes” and other smaller portions, hopefully appealing to women.
The new restaurant is scheduled to open in time for New Year’s Eve.
While she prepares for the new venture, Longoria has more immediate preparations to make, as he will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday ahead of President Obama’s speech.
In 2008, Longoria was a vocal supporter of the President and is currently co-chair of the President’s re-election campaign. She is a staunch opponent of Arizona’s immigration law known as SB 1070, having called in unconstitutional.
During an appearance on the “Today” show Thursday, Longoria assured she would not be going the way of fellow Hollywood star Clint Eastwood, promising “no empty chairs.”
