Monday marks the 40th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s death, and to honor the artist an art gallery in Spain is holding an exhibition.

Madrid’s Leandro Navarro art gallery will display 15 original works of art displayed to illustrate the life and key moments of the famed artist.

The exhibition begins with work from the 1904 through 1906 and progresses through his life up until 1967 with his drawing Nu Debout et flutiste.

Leandro Navarro’s exhibition opened Thursday and will remain open until May 12. From May 22nd through the 26th the exhibit will be displayed at the Leandro Navarro booth in Art Basel Hong Kong.

Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga on October 25th, 1881. He died on April 8th, 1973.
