Famed chef José Andrés (born José Roman Andrés Puerta), recently announced he would opening an experimental “cocktail lab” in Washington D.C., next to his popular Minibar.

At the appropriately named, barmini, chef-driven libations get whimsical and inventive twists, using state-of-the-art technology. Physically, they are in adjoining rooms with Minibar, with a window allowing patrons to watch the action on the other side.

At barmini, patrons can order reimagined classics in vintage glassware, and can order Spanish infused takes on ham and cheese sandwiches as well as a Philly cheesesteak. Interestingly, hands sticking out of the walls hold fruit for patrons to snack on.

Reservations are already being taken.
