A woman is reportedly doing well after giving birth to a record-breaking baby in Spain recently.

Maxime Marin gave to birth to a 13-pound baby on Wednesday in Alicante, Spain, and surprisingly did so with no epidural. Even more astounding was that Marin later described the birth of her daughter as fairly painless.

The newborn, Maria, was born after her mother was in labor for less than three hours. She is the fourth child for the hairdresser and her husband.

At 13 pounds, Maria’s birth was a record for Spain, but she was also a surprise for her family, as Maxime Marin had an ovary removed some time ago and was not expecting to get pregnant again.
