The now-former star of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men,” has just been officially fired.
Warner Bros. Television announced today the ever erratic actor has been fired, stating, “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services from ‘Two and a Half Men’ effective immediately.”
Though no statement has been made on the future of the show, it is now clear that, if it should continue, it will do so without Mr. Sheen.
Just hours before it was announced, Sheen, via his Twitter account, announced he was looking for an intern. The tweet was apparently a paid-for endorsement from Internships.com. It was arranged by start-up ad.ly.
Ad.ly connects celebrities with advertisers for social media ads, and Sheen signed with the company after they set him up with his now uber-popular Twitter account last week. Sheen now has over 2 million followers on Twitter, and actually set a record for this quickly-rising number of followers.
