An application for smartphones and tablets will help Argentines select the best wine for a meal with the assistance of experts, the software’s creators said.
The Vinomanos app gives shoppers access to a database created by sommelier Alejandro Iglesias and journalist Joaquin Hidalgo.
The database contains information on wines organized by quality, price, flavor and other characteristics, as well as the best uses for a wine, such as parties, first dates and other occasions.
All wines available in Argentina, including those for sale on the Internet, can be evaluated using the app, the creators said.
The app, which is free but carries ads, also includes ratings, reviews, a list of estimated prices and wine industry news.
