Yesterday six Spanish firefighters died when their helicopter crashed near the city of Teruel, Spain as they were trying to extinguish a wildfire.
Spanish officials are reporting one survivor, who is badly injured, from the crash that occurred in the afternoon in a remote area in the Aragon region of the country.
This is the biggest accident of its kind in the country in the last 20 years, motiving the Spanish President, Jose Luis Rodriguez to issue his condolences from France.
President Rodriguez was in France with other world leaders to participate in the international Libya summit that resulted in air strikes and other military offensives in Libya.
