Photo: Shakira will sing for free in Mexico
The Colombian artist is expected to break the record of attendance to one of her upcoming shows.
Shakira has agreed to sing a free show—her first free event in Mexico, in Mérida, Yucatán on July 16.
The concert will be sponsored by a group of Mexican entrepreneurs, who reportedly paid the singer aprox. 15 million pesos (about a million and a quarter dollars) hoping the show will increase tourism to the area.
Good idea we think.
On other Shakira news, she was recently in Brazil, where she presented President Dilma Rousseff with an autographed guitar and a promise to support efforts to improve the welfare of children in the South American nation.
