As the Senate Republicans blocked a vote to extend low interest rates on government subsidized student loans one of their everyone , Florida Senator Marco Rubio, urged that “the interest rates on student loans do not go up.”
Both Democrats and Republican do not want interest rates to double to 6.8% in July but disagree how to pay for it. Democrats want to tax high-income earners and Republicans, including Rubio want to ax a public health and prevention fund.
In fact Rubio noted that he maybe the only U.S. Senator that is still paying of students loans. The forty-year-old Cuban-American Senator has disclosed, according to ABC News, that he took out student loans between $100,000 to $250,00 to finance his undergraduate and law degree.
