The Panamanian singer/actor wrote a poetic observation every day for a year, now with more than 365, he wants to publish them in a book format.
The multi-grammy salsa star said his poetry book is finished, and he’ll publish it once his writer friends proof it, and an editor gives it an order.
Blades emphasized that these poems are a departure from his lyrics in musical compositions, and that more than poems, in the scholar sense of the word, they are merely poetic observations.
“What I did was to write everyday, something that had to do with emotion” said the 62 year-old singer, actor and now author, who will be honored with the Raul Julia Award by the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors during its annual gala on Oct. 17.
