Costa Rica media is reporting Bono, humanitarian and lead singer of U-2, had been vacationing there for over a week when his wife, Alison suffered an accident.

The immigration office in Costa Rica has confirmed that a Paul David Hewson (the singers legal name) and Alison Hewson arrived in the country on February 11, 2013 and have not left - that is where facts end and rumor starts.

Local media is reporting that Alison was injured while riding an ATV on a local beach.  Some reports claim it was a broken leg while others say it was more serious.  Other reports say she was taken to San Jose hospital via helicopter after sustaining the injuries near Cobano de Pentarenas.

Cobano de Pentarenas, on the south Pacific coast, is home to some of the country’s most beautiful, pristine beaches.  There are no hospitals and only one pharmacy in the town of Cobano.
