Rob Schneider’s TV Pilot About his Mexican Family Picked Up by CBS

CBS has given the green light to a Warner Bros. TV untitled family comedy pilot, starring funnyman Rob Schneider.

The untitled Rob Schneider project, from CBS TV Studios and the Tannenbaum  Co., was penned by Schneider himself, with the collaboration of fellow Saturday Night Live pupil Lew Morton.

The show is allegedly based on Schneider’s life, telling the stories of a once lonesome guy who marries into a huge Mexican-American family.

Lew Morton plus Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men) are the executive producers, and Schneider and his brother John will produce the show through their “From Out of Nowhere Productions”.

This will be Schneider’s first TV show gig since 1997, when he appeared in the NBC’s comedy Men Behaving Badly.
