Cuban-Americans and Cuban nationals celebrated in 2009 when President Barack Obama renewed postal service after 42 years, whereby Cuban mail would be received by the U.S. postal service.
Now it’s the Cuban’s that are refusing to send mail to the U.S. effective today. Until further notice Cuba will no longer mail anything to the U.S. due to large amounts of Cuban mail being refused and subsequently being returned, which is costly for the island nation.
After the Yemen mail explosives the U.S. tightened security measures for all incoming mail from all foreign countries.
