Retired boxer Hector “Macho” Camacho will make his television debut with a show business news segment on Univision’s evening program “El Gordo Y La Flaca.”
Every Friday, the 10-time world boxing champion in different categories will give his opinion about recent events in show business on the segment “Macho News,” his representatives announced in a press release on Monday.
The boxer recently made a cameo appearance on Alex Wayne’s music video and in 2010 he participated in Univision’s “Mira quien baila” (Look Who’s Dancing) competition program.
Camacho became the first Puerto Rican lightweight to win both the World Boxing Council and World Boxing Organization titles.
He won 79 of his 87 bouts, 38 of them by knock-outs.
Two of his most important victories were against Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard.
