Reports are coming out that Bruno Mars will be the 2014 Super Bowl halftime entertainment. The reports from AP are coming ahead of the official announcement on Sunday.
Super Bowl XLVIII is set for February 2 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. It is one of the most watched events on television garneting more than 100 million viewers.
Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, is a Grammy winning singer, songwriter and producer. The 27-year-old Puerto-Rican Hawaiian was just honored as best male video and choreography at the MTV awards. He has sold more than 10 million albums and has a total of five number one singles on Billboard.
Past halftime performers have included Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, The Who and Madonna to name a few.
