NBC has given Eva Longoria’s latest television project “Ready for Love” a quick death, cancelling the show after just two episodes.  Longoria, 38,  served as the executive producer of the show.

The dating show, hosted by Bill and Giuliana Rancic, featured Ben Patton, a financier from Dallas, Texas; Tim Lopez, a musician from Santa Barbara, California and Ernesto Arguello, a philanthropist from Miami, Florida all vying for the chance to find true love.

The show never found an audience in spite of having the very popular “Voice” as a lead-in show.  In its first week debut it garnered a weak 1.8 score in the key 18-49 year-old demographic and dropped to 1.3 the following week.  NBC has not announced if it will air the remaining episodes that have already been filmed.

As of April 30 “Ready for Love” will be replaced on Tuesday 9pm CST by “Grimm” which currently airs on Friday nights.
