Singer Prince Royce announced in Miami that he was calling off the three concerts he had scheduled for this weekend in Spain due to “the failure of local promoters to meet their obligations.”
“I feel terrible about having to disappoint my fans in Spain,” Prince Royce said in a communique, adding that the promoters’ noncompliance was “beyond his control.”
The concerts, which were part of the tour promoting his latest album “Soy el Mismo,” were scheduled for July 4, 5 and 6 in Tenerife, Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.
The young singer-songwriter promised his followers that “I will work hard” to schedule other dates in the near future and “offer you the concert you deserve.”
The artist has won fame in the United States and Puerto Rico with his mix of bachata and Latin pop and has picked up a number of prizes like the four he received in April at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
In recent years he has also shared the stage and made recordings with such stars as Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Mana, Daddy Yankee, Selena Gomez and Thalia.
