President Obama delivered the traditional Thanksgiving message to the nation today wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. His addressed focused on being thankful for American that reaches out and help others.
He praised the troops overseas and everyone who takes time out of their busy lives to help others thereby making the nation great. The President also called for American’s to continue their commitment to volunteerism. The address though light on politics did call for bipartisan cooperation in the upcoming legislative session.
In a symbolic gesture the President and first family handed out Thanksgiving dinners at a local food pantry last night.
