The volcano shot out four minor blasts of ash, gas and vapor reaching a half mile into the sky earlier today.

A cold ash rain is expected to fall onto Mexico City overnight if wind conditions and direction remain the same.

The National Civilian Protection System has not elevated the alert level, which remains yellow, however, it is urging people to stay at least 7 miles away from the crater, as the area could see more minor blasts, and even spew incandescent fragments within a short distance from the crater.
