Polls asks U.S. Citizens views on Birthright Citizenship to Foreigners

30% of U.S. residents believe that the children born to foreign citizens living legally in the U.S. should not receive automatic citizenship.

55% of U.S. residents believe that the children born to mothers in the country on a tourist visa should not receive automatic citizenship.

67% of U.S. residents believe that the children born to undocumented immigrants should not receive automatic citizenship.

Broken down by Political Affiliations:
Do you agree believe that the children born to undocumented immigrants should not receive automatic citizenship?

Democrats     57% think we should deny citizenship
Independents   70 % think we should deny citizenship
Republicans   82% think we should deny citizenship

The Poll was conducted by Angus Reid, a public opinion firm in Toronto. The margin of error is 3.1%
