Photo: Police Looking for Latino Males in Connection With San Diego Rock Thrower Being Shot With Crossbow
The San Diego Union Tribune is reporting that police are looking for two Latino males in connection with the shooting of a crossbow at a boy who was throwing rocks at passing cars.
Police have not released the name of the boy or the friend who joined in the throwing, but say they had been throwing the rocks off an overpass around 2 p.m. Monday. At about 2:15 p.m., a black Toyota RAV4 drove by. The boys threw a rock that dented the vehicle, and the SUV pulled over.
What happened next, the rock throwers probably never saw coming.
After pulling over, one of the men in the SUV fired a crossbow bolt at one of the boys, which landed in his gut, and drove away.
He was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital and treated for his injuries which doctors say were not life-threatening.
The men in the RAV4 were described as being Latino males, who were likely juveniles as well. No one have any idea why they had a crossbow.
