The Grandson and Great Grandson of the Mexican revolution icon launched a photo show aimed at keeping Villa’s memory alive.
Agustin Villa Cordova, the grandson of Pancho Villa, along with his son Francisco Villa Garcia, presented a photo exhibition Sunday in El Paso, Texas.
The show, titled “Riding with Pancho Villa” is a portion of the work of Mexican photojournalist Agustín Víctor Casasola, an eager documenter of Mexico’s history.
Casasola produced images for several Mexican newspapers; during the Mexican Revolution, Casasola took his camera to battle and captured many important moments in the life of Pancho Villa.
The 35-photo collection will be on display until Oct. 31 at the Main Public Library, in downtown El Paso.
