Oliver Martinez of Albuquerque is Persistent:  Arrested for the 45th Time for Shoplifting

Albuquerque police arrest dozens of people in a given week for shoplifting and aren’t fazed that is until they see the face of Oliver Martinez – AGAIN.

Martinez was just arrested in the area for the 45th time,  25 of those times were for shoplifting in Albuquerque and 20 times in other jurisdictions.  This last time he literally walked into police hands by attempting to sell undercover officers tools he had just stolen from Lowe’s.

Richard J. Berry, the Mayor of Albuquerque has made property theft a legislative priority; and we don’t know how much Martinez is to blame.  He doesn’t appear to serve any time for his multitude of crimes nor get any counseling for his apparent propensity for shoplifting.
