Five days after the dumped, dead body of Odin Lloyd was found near New England Patriot’s tight end Aaron Hernandez’ house no one is in custody.
The court did draw up an arrest warrant for Hernandez on obstruction of justice charges on Friday – however the warrant has not been issued. Today authorities did return to search the home of Hernandez in North Attleboro, MA.
The body of Hernandez’ pal, Lloyd was found in an industrial park one-mile away from the North Attleboro home. Much speculation has been made about Hernandez’ behavior and possible evidence tampering as the murder investigation proceeded. It is believed the two men were friends connected by the women in their life.
Hernandez’ finance Shayanna Jenkins’ sister was dating Lloyd. Unconfirmed reports put the men together the day Lloyd is believed to have died – together at a Boston bar.
The warrant alleges the NFLer intentionally destroyed his security system that might show him with the 27-year-old Lloyd hours before his death. When police asked to see the security footage they saw it was destroyed as well as Hernandez’ cell phone. It is also being reported that 23-year-old Hernandez hired a large cleaning crew for his house on Monday the day Lloyd’s body was found.
The image of Hernandez, since the body was discovered, is not a flattering one and speaks of someone living life with guns, booze and questionable associates. The Puerto-Rican Hernandez has been tied to a shooting earlier this year to failed drug tests during the NFL draft and being questioned in a double shooting while in college at University of Florida.
Officially Hernandez has not commented on the searches or the investigation.
