You typically don’t get arrested when you have a fight with a daughter-in-law that you don’t like. But Amelia Oveide, 46, took family feuding to a new low when she ripped off her daughter-in-law’s nipple when she interceded in a fight between mother and son.
The unidentified 30-year-old victim had emergency surgery on Sunday but a reattachment was not possible. The victim did not want her mother-in-law charged even though she is a convicted felon.
The victim did not realize the extent of her injuries until police noticed she was bleeding from her shirt, upon lifting it her torn nipple was retrieved. Oveide of Las Cruces, New Mexico regardless of the wishes of her daughter-in-law will be charged with aggravated battery against a household member.
