A New York store owner says he will likely be changing the name of his bodega, A-Rod Grocery, now that the baseball player finds himself at the center of controversy.
Ricardo Rodriguez, the owner of A-Rod Grocery says he re-named the bodega to honor the player when he was still with the Mariners, 13 years ago.
Now that A-Rod has been suspended for allegedly using performance enhancing drugs, the grocer says he wants to change the name once again.
Rodriguez the store owner says he is harassed by critics of the ball player, who say A-Rod should not be praised.
Though he has yet to decide on a new name, the bodega was previously named Pena Grocery.
Alex Rodriguez has been with the New York Yankees since 2004, but his injuries and involvement in the PED scandal have left him with far fewer fans tan when he arrived.
