Attempting to point out the societal importance of women in the 21st century, CNN en Español has added a new program called “NotiMujer.”

The show discusses “issues of interest” to women, including a segment called “The Woman of the Week.” Cuban-American anchor Mercedes Soler has a woman in mind for an upcoming segment.

“I’d very much like to have Hillary Clinton on the program, because she’s an example for any woman,” she said.

Other segments include those on beauty, health, fashion, family, and even some on decorating, optimizing, designing, and renovating living space.

Soler anchors the show from its Miami studio, while Glenda Umaña does so from the Atlanta studio.

The addition of “NotiMujer” was part of CNN en Español’s restructuring plan that began when Cynthia Hudson became the general director last year.
