Mexican authorities are reporting that they have discovered a 980-foot long narco tunnel between Tijuana, Mexico and the U.S. The tunnel was found by the Mexican military on Friday inside a house in Tijuana. A Santa Muerte altar was also found inside the Tijuana house.
Ten individuals were arrested by Mexican authorities who are believed to have been working on the tunnel for over one year. The tunnel was rigged with lighting and a ventilation system and stood 6feet high and 3 feet wide. The tunnel was not finished when it was discovered but had already stretched 300 feet in the U.S.
Since 1990 more than 150 tunnels have been found between the U.S. and Mexico that were used for either human smuggling or drug trafficking.
