On September 7, 2012 , beautiful Fernanda Ruby arrives at Bulldog Bar de Orizaba, at 22:30 pm, when the party has just begun. “I’m fine”, she told her mother, Araceli, over the phone, “I will be home in a little while.bye Mommy, I love you ...” Fifteen minutes later, four men enter the business and they drag this 21 year old out, she asks for help, but no one responded or gave any aide. During that weekend, seven others were also abducted in the municipality of Veracruz, and after a year, nothing is known about them.
None of these victims have been held for ransom. They were simply kidnapped and are missing, most in public places, such as the case of Fernanda, a boy of 14 years at the Orizaba central mall one day later, on September 8. Their captors never asked for money to return any of the victims.
In fact, the only ones who tried to benefit economically with these disappearances were the Orizaba municipal authorities. In January, tried to charge 990 pesos to the parents of these victims, for the fee to hang a blanket in public asking for any information. “Veracruz authorities say that my daughter was liked by some Narco.. why do they tell me this? There has been no investigation at all” the bereaved mother said.
