Eugenio Hernandez, governor of the state of Tamaulipas announced that the Attorney General’s Office has identified the 41 guards that collaborated with the 151 inmates from a prison that escaped, in his state.
The records of the inmates who fled have been given to authorities in different states of Mexico and the United States. The governor is reporting that a relentless search is underway to capture the fugitives.
While there is still no news on Efrain Hernandez Llamas, director of the prison, who is now wanted by the authorities.
“My administration is working in coordination with federal authorities to clarify the case, start the investigation of the 41 guards and punish the culprits responsible for the mass escape took place last Friday,” Hernandez concluded.
