In an interview with Hello! magazine, Mildred Baena, the former housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger/Shriver family is breaking her silence after the Los Angeles Times broke that her now-teenaged son in the product of a tawdry affair with actor-turned-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Baena told the publication that she spoke with Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver, about the child when she put the pieces together after the boy was started to look more and more like Arnold.

“She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other,” Baena told Hello!. “I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two.”

Guatemalan-born Baena, 50, told also told the magazine that Shriver, 55 let on that she knew something was going on.

“She would say things like, ‘I’m here if you need to talk.’ I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria,” Baena said. “Finally, she just asked point blank.”

Baena said she did the interview because she wanted to set the record straight amidst all the false reports.

She also stated that her and Arnold’s son was told by his grandmother last year who is father is. His response: “Cool!”

But what was most surprising in the interview was the fact that Baena said Schwarzenegger, 63, did not know the child was his, despite what is being reported.

“I knew Arnold was the father, and maybe as Joseph got older and began to look like him, (Schwarzenegger) wondered. But he never said anything to me.”

The just days before the news of the child went public, Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced they would be separating after 25 years of marriage.

Through it all however, Baena said she hopes the pair can work things out, and said, “He’s a good man, and I knew he’s suffering too. He loves Maria.”
