The Mexican soccer team outplayed the best soccer team in the world 4-1 in a friendly match, Wednesday night in the city of Miami.
Barcelona seemed to be in control for the first half, even opening the score 3 minutes into the game, with a goal by David Villa.
But the best team in the world crumpled apart in the second half; at the 60 minute mark, Marco Fabián scored for the Mexicans, and then again 2 minutes later. Giovani Casillas scored the third ten minutes after Fabián, and the last one came in the last minute of the match, courtesy of José Luis Verduzco.
The Spanish team lost their last game as well, last Saturday against Manchester United in Washington; Coach Pep Guardiola said he wasn’t upset for the team’s losses, and that he knows the team needs to improve their weaknesses.
“We are close to the “Supercopa,” “La Liga” and other important events, so we must make progress in some issues, for there is little time” Guardiola said. “I’m not angry about the result, Chivas simply played really good and the result only tells us we need to work more.”
