Argentine striker Lionel Messi, sidelined since Nov. 10 by a hamstring injury, will be in the lineup for FC Barcelona’s Copa del Rey fixture with Getafe, the Catalan club said Tuesday.

But Xavi Hernandez, Dani Alves and Marc Bartra will not be available for Wednesday’s contest.

Alves is still getting over the flu, while coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino said Xavi needs rest to deal with a minor, but persistent problem.

Bartra hurt his leg in Barcelona’s weekend La Liga match against Elche, according to the coach.

Messi joined his Barcelona teammates last Friday for an open practice that drew more than 13,000 people to the club’s mini-stadium.

The four-time World Player of the Year arrived in Barcelona on Thursday after a month spent in Argentina.

Messi, 26, showed no signs of rust during Friday’s scrimmage, notching a hat trick and earning an assist on another goal.

Also back for Friday’s session was goalkeeper Victor Valdes, out since Nov. 20 after suffering an injury while playing for Spain in a friendly against South Africa.
