Lily has become the first Hispanic singer to raise the money to make and release her album “Pasión de Mujer” entirely on the internet!
Lily Vázquez is a Colombian born singer and salsa dancer; she has getting ready for the limelight since she was four years old.
In 2008, Lily opened an account on sellaband.com, a revolutionary website which served as platform to launching her career. Users login to sellaband.com and purchase “stock” and invest on acts they wish to help fund.
Lily became the first Hispanic artist to collect $50,000 from fans and music lovers to record her Latin Pop/Rock album “Pasión de Mujer”.
In early 2009 Lily won the Billboard Song World Contest for the single Pasion de Mujer. In 2010 she released two singles, the first one called “Nunca Dejes De Hacerme El Amor” and “Me Marcho De Aqui” developing her now signature style: an edgy rock/pop feel.
With a blend of Latin, Dance, Pop and Rock in Spanish, Lily has introduced her music abroad, as far as Holland, while also taking part in the Festival of the Canary Islands, in Spain, where she had the opportunity to share the stage with Dominican singer Angela Carrasco.
