Argentine soccer icon Diego Maradona has filed a complaint against former partner Veronica Ojeda after she posted photos of their infant son to a social-networking site in defiance of a court order.
“The defendant did not comply with the court order, since Ms. Ojeda took it on herself to post photos of the minor on social-networking sites (Twitter), in which the boy appears with his grandmother and other people,” Maradona’s attorney, Matias Morla, told Argentina’s official Telam news agency on Thursday.
Prosecutors have already notified Ojeda that judicial proceedings have been commenced against her for the crime of “disobedience,” Morla said.
Last month, Maradona petitioned the court to block the appearance of their four-month-old son, Diego Fernando, on a local television program, saying he was trying to protect his child’s “privacy and dignity.”
The Argentine court initially blocked Ojeda from showing the baby in the international media without the father’s permission for 15 days and later extended the injunction for a year.
